Chemical Skin Peels

Chemical Skin Peels

Skin Peels can be used to improve skin quality and treat various skin conditions including sun damage, wrinkles, Skin Rejuvenation, blackheads, pigmentation (skin discolouration) and acne just to name a few. With no downtime, it leaves your skin feeling refreshed, hydrated, and smooth.

How do skin peels work?

Skin has a natural process of shedding old skin and refreshing it with new skin. As we age this natural process slows down. Chemical Peels speed up this natural process by removing the old outer layer of skin thereby ensuring a more rejuvenated youthful skin appearance. In addition, our peels contain a mix of active nourishing ingredients such as antioxidants, fruit acids (AHA, BHA), retinol and hydrating agents which are all clinically proven. We offer various peel formulations so that our professional skin therapist can assess your skin and customise treatment to suit your skin condition. A daily skin care routine is important in maintaining refreshed, rejuvenated skin and complements the chemical peel process.

With a professionally applied Chemical Peel, Melbourne residents can enjoy smoother and clearer skin with lasting results.

What does a Chemical Skin Peel treatment involve?

Our experienced skin consultant will assess your skin and recommend a chemical peel best suited to your skin. A daily skin care routine will be discussed. This is an important part of maintaining refreshed rejuvenated skin and complements the chemical peel process.

Your skin will be thoroughly cleaned with a specific cleanser prior to the application of the Chemical Peel solution.

A customized chemical peel solution will be applied to the skin which helps to carefully remove the damaged outer layers. The strength of the peel is determined by the ingredients in the peel and the length of time the solution is left on for. Our skin consultant will carefully monitor your skin throughout the procedure and apply a neutralizing solution when the peel is completed. There may be slight tingling during the procedure which will cease once the neutralizing solution is applied.

After the skin peel is complete, your skin will feel soft and hydrated. There may be some redness and flaking of the skin depending on the depth of the peel. Specific instructions vary depending on the chemical peel so we individualize post peel instructions accordingly.

Chemical Skin Peels can be applied on all areas of the body but are most commonly used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, acne, sunspots, and other skin conditions on the face, neck, and the back of the hands.
